Dear Fairfax Football Team Member and Parents,
I thought I'd send out a quick note to introduce myself to those of you who I have not met. My name is Mike Williams and I'm the new varsity head football coach at BFA - Fairfax.
Please excuse the letter, but I felt it was the best way to get in touch with everyone on the player list as soon as I could. I will email this to everyone I have addresses for; the remainder will receive this via regular mail.
To say the least it has been an interesting off-season for Fairfax football; regardless of what has happened in the past it is my wish to put you at ease and tell you that I feel privileged to have the opportunity to coach this team. Of course, it's going to mean a lot of hard work from the staff and players but I have no doubts we will get where we need to get.
I am attaching a schedule for the remainder of the summer and for the start of the season, which is right around the corner.

Please note that I feel the term Hell Week is a bit harsh. We will do enough conditioning to get us where we need to get, but we are not out to hurt anyone or make the experience intolerable. Start doing some running now and it will not be that bad. Also, for those of you with new cleats try to work those in a bit before the season starts to avoid blisters.
